Course Aim

To train delegates in the skills and knowledge needed to achieve standards of competence to plan their construction project and commercial strategies, to manage the commercial aspects of construction projects under standard forms, to avoid, manage and resolve claims in construction projects.

  • Recognise the significance of contract terms and conditions relative to the administration of the project
  • Identify common pitfalls and how to avoid them
  • Set up appropriate monitoring and recording procedures
  • Use these procedures to identify early warnings of commercial disputes and ensure correct action is taken
  • Process commercial issues for speedy resolution
  • Examine the suitability and efficiency of their current record keeping and monitoring systems in house
